The 10 Best Tennis Clubs in Philadelphia (2026)
We ranked Philadelphia’s best tennis clubs using Google reviews and a Bayesian-style weighting that balances average rating with number of reviews; the list was updated in 2026. Philadelphia’s racket-sport scene mixes public courts, private clubs, nonprofit programs and growing padel/pickleball options, so choices vary by surface, lesson availability and membership model. This guide relies on what people report online rather than promotional copy, making it easier to compare highly rated options across the city. Each entry includes the Google rating, review count and category so you can quickly find venues that match your playing priorities.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a tennis club in Philadelphia?
Compare factors like court surface (hard, clay, indoor), lesson and program availability, membership versus drop-in options, location and hours. Read recent reviews for comments on court condition and booking ease, and visit in person if possible to get a sense of the facilities and crowd.
What does it typically cost to play at a tennis club?
Costs vary widely: some places charge per-hour court fees or drop-in rates, others offer monthly or annual memberships, and private lessons or clinics usually have separate fees. Check each venue’s website or call to confirm current rates and any required deposits or guest policies.
What should I check before booking a court or joining?
Verify court surface, booking and cancellation policies, peak-hour availability and whether equipment is required or rentable. Also ask about lesson offerings, age or skill-level programs, and any facility rules like guest limits or locker-room access.
How was this ranking created?
This list was built from Google reviews and updated in 2026 using a Bayesian-style weighting that balances average rating with the number of reviews. That method favors high-rated places while accounting for review volume so smaller but perfect-scoring venues are considered alongside busier clubs.
