The 10 Best Boxing Gyms in Philadelphia (2026)
Our ranking of Philadelphia boxing gyms is built from Google review data using a Bayesian-style score — the average rating weighted by the number of reviews — and updated for 2026. That method favors places with both strong scores and substantial feedback, so consistently well-reviewed spots rise to the top while newer listings with few reviews move up more slowly. Philadelphia’s fight-scene includes traditional boxing clubs, Muay Thai academies, and general gyms, offering options for everyone from beginners to dedicated athletes. This guide focuses on measurable online reputation; visit or call to confirm class formats and schedules before committing.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Broad Street Kickboxing
Broad Street Kickboxing tops our list because it pairs a perfect 5.0 Google rating with a comparatively large review base — 126 reviews — giving it strong weight in our rating method. It is listed on Google as a Martial arts school and its review volume sets it apart from other five-star entries with fewer reviews. That combination of rating and review count is exactly what our Bayesian-style ranking is designed to reward.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a boxing gym in Philadelphia?
Look for a gym whose class schedule, coaching style, and student level match your goals. Check recent reviews for consistency, visit during a drop-in or observation period if possible, and confirm credentials or experience of coaches before committing.
What should I check before signing up for classes?
Ask about class sizes, how programs are structured for beginners versus advanced students, and what gear you need to bring. Also confirm membership terms, cancellation policies, and any trial or introductory options.
How much does training at a boxing gym typically cost?
Costs vary by gym, program intensity, and membership level; some gyms offer drop-in classes, monthly memberships, or package deals. Compare offerings and contract terms rather than relying on posted prices alone, and factor in equipment and any additional fees.
How was this ranking created and updated?
