The 10 Best General Contractors in Philadelphia (2026)
Updated in 2026, our list ranks Philadelphia general contractors using a Bayesian-style score derived from Google reviews: the average rating weighted by review count to favor consistently reviewed businesses. Philadelphia’s mix of rowhomes, older buildings, and an active renovation market means contractors here tackle a wide range of projects, so local reputation and review volume often matter as much as credentials. We relied strictly on public Google data to assemble an objective snapshot of highly rated firms across the city and nearby areas. Use this list as a starting point, then follow up with quotes, references, and permit checks before hiring.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.
