The 10 Best Pool Halls in Philadelphia (2026)
This list ranks the top pool-hall experiences accessible to Philadelphia residents and nearby communities, updated for 2026. We computed the order from Google review data using a Bayesian-style score that balances average rating with number of reviews, so a well-reviewed staple and a high-rated newcomer are both weighed fairly. The selection reflects a mix of traditional cue rooms, bar-based pool spots, and suburban halls just outside city limits, giving locals a range from casual table time to larger social venues. We focused on verifiable Google ratings and review counts rather than hearsay or unverified claims.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose the right pool hall?
Consider what you want from a visit: competitive tables, casual social play, or a bar atmosphere. Check Google reviews for recent comments on table condition, crowd size, and hours, and compare the number of reviews as well as the average rating to get a sense of consistency.
What does it typically cost to play at a pool hall?
Pricing varies by venue and table type; some halls charge hourly table rates while bars may have per-game or per-hour charges. Look up the venue’s own information or call ahead to confirm table fees, whether walk-ins are accepted, and any minimums or cover charges.
What should I check before I go to a pool hall?
Confirm hours of operation, table availability, and whether the venue takes reservations for groups. Also check recent reviews for notes about table conditions, cleanliness, and crowd levels so you can pick a time that fits your expectations.
