The 10 Best Dance Studios in Philadelphia (2026)
Philadelphia’s dance scene spans neighborhood studios, community centers, and specialized classes for everything from ballet to hip-hop. For our 2026 list we ranked local dance studios using Google reviews, applying a Bayesian-style score that weights average rating by review count to favor consistently rated businesses with substantial feedback. The result highlights schools across the city with strong public ratings while balancing small studios and longer-established options. Whether you’re looking for weekly classes or a place to start learning, the list aims to surface highly rated, frequently reviewed studios throughout Philadelphia and nearby Main Line communities.
This ranking is computed from Google reviews (our method). Listings marked Partner are paid advertising spots: they sit alongside the ranking without changing its order.

Frequently asked questions
How should I choose a dance studio in Philadelphia?
Consider your goals (recreational, technical training, social dance), the class schedule, instructor credentials, and class size. Read recent reviews for patterns and try a trial class to see teaching style and facility fit before committing.
What do dance lessons typically cost?
Costs vary widely by class type, teacher experience, and location; you’ll find drop-in rates, multi-class packages, and monthly memberships. Ask the studio about package discounts, cancellation policies, and whether fees include performance or registration charges.
What should I check before signing up for instruction?
Verify instructor qualifications, class level descriptions, safety measures, and the studio’s policies on makeup classes and refunds. Also check the space for appropriate flooring, mirrors, and sufficient room for the style you want to learn.
How was this ranking of studios built?
This list is based on Google review data updated for 2026 and uses a Bayesian-style approach: average ratings are weighted by review counts so that high ratings with substantial feedback score higher than similar ratings with very few reviews. It highlights consistently well-rated studios while accounting for review volume.
